SATB I’ll Go Where You Want Me to Go

This arrangement for SATB choir and Piano is a slower version of the original hymn.  This would be great for a mission farewell or return or a meeting about obedience or keeping the commandments.

I have changed the melody slightly in the first 2 verses, and changed it a lot in the 3rd verse.  Please note:  The first verse is sung by the men and the second verse is sung by the women; they do not sing together.  I wrote the sheet music the way I did to save paper and help all those ward choir directors to save a little money on printer ink or copies 🙂

I hope you enjoy it!  Thanks for visiting!

  1. Hi!
I visited your site because I was seeking information about the lovely hymn “I’ll Go Where You Want Me To Go.” I am a 73-year-old retired pastor from a non-LDS church. I want to learn more about the Christian faith in Jesus that Mormons and other Christians share despite any theological differences that exist. My appreciation of the LDS Church stems from an experience that I recently had at a time when I was at an all-time low point in my own faith in Jesus. The person who conveyed the love of Jesus most powerfully to me is an Irish Mormon soprano named Alex Sharpe, a former member of the wonderful musical ensemble Celtic Woman. Alex has released an exquisitely beautiful album of hymns titled “Be Still, My Soul.” Besides the title song, the CD includes such faith-filled favorites as “Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing,” “Jesus the Very Thought of Thee,” “I Know That My Redeemer Lives” and my favorite musical prayer “Abide With Me.” On “Abide With Me” she interpolates a musical quotation from Psalm 23, which inspires me to realize that the Lord does indeed abide with us as the Good Shepherd abides with his flock. And one of the songs on Alex’s CD that really touches my spirit is her lovely interpretation of “I’ll Go Where You Want me To Go.” Alex self-financed the CD as a labor of love for the Lord. I pray that the Lord will lead me where He wants me to go. And I pray that the Lord will lead the magnificent Mormon Tabernacle Choir to invite Alex to be a guest soloist. What a wonderful blessing that would be for us all. Peace and blessings,

  2. Roger again:
Alex Sharpe has re-joined Celtic Woman for a part of their current tour, which will be in Utah some time in June, and she will give a solo concert somewhere in Utah in August. I hope the Mormon Tabernacle Choir’s leaders will hear Alex and invite her to be a featured guest soloist after the tour is over. Peace and have a blessed day. Roger
